Isuzu has announced prices for its upcoming electric D-Max EV, which will start from £60K plus VAT.

Having shown the final production version at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show in April, Isuzu has now confirmed pricing and specification details for the UK market.

The three model line-up will step up to the mid-spec D-Max eDL40 coming in from £61K + VAT and top out at £62.5K + VAT for a D-Max eV-Cross.

The production-ready model will launch with two trim levels based on the brand’s best-selling specifications, DL40 and V-Cross. The electric versions will feature a dual-motor all-wheel drive system and a 67kWh battery, with the promise that it will be built with the same levels of durability that have come to define the Isuzu D-Max over many years.

The naming convention aligns with the existing diesel-powered range, reflecting the fact that the EV versions retain the same level of capability and features as the diesel D-Max DL40 and V-Cross models.

Isuzu is expecting the new D-Max EV to find a number of willing customers, as it retains a similar one-tonne payload to the diesel models as well as a full 3.5-tonne towing capacity – something that is lacking in the only other electric pick-up currently on the market, the Maxus T90EV.

Visually, the electric D-Max is very similar to the existing diesel models, with Isuzu having resisted the temptation to come up with a completely different front-end design for the EV model. Apart from some blue detailing and EV badging, you’d struggle to notice any differences.

Customers will be able to start placing orders later this year, and be able to take delivery from March 2026.
