Volkswagen has topped its specification offerings for its Amarok pick-up with a new special-edition Aventura trim.

Dubbed as ‘the most luxurious Amarok ever’ by the manufacturer, the Aventura boasts a comprehensive list of standard equipment as well as a range of exterior styling touches.

Priced from £39,960, it features 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, along with a body-coloured sports car and chrome-plated side bars. It also benefits from power folding mirrors and a protective coating for the load bed.

A range of exterior paint colours is available, while buyers can specify and opt for a matt finish for a reduced price on the Aventura – at £2,355 excluding VAT, it’s a 24% saving over the normal price.

All Aventura models get automatic headlights and separate daytime running lights, as well as front fog lights with in-built cornering function. This changes the angle of the lights to help improve visibility at night when going around corners.

Underneath the bonnet sits a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 diesel engine with up to 270hp with overboost function engaged, as well as an impressive 580Nm of torque. It’s sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Inside, the Amarok Aventura features 14-way adjustable front seats finished in nappa leather, while the steering wheel is finished in leather as well.

The truck also gets Volkswagen’s latest Discovery Media infotainment system, which houses satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, among other features.

The Volkswagen Amarok Aventura is available to order now.
