Peugeot dealers are now taking orders for the new Partner van.

Debuted at the Commercial Vehicle Show in April, the new Partner is the fourth generation of the model with wide-ranging improvements.

The engine line-up has been revised with new VTI petrol and Blue HDI diesel units that are Euro 6 emissions compliant.

The six-strong range, all of 1.6 litres, now encompasses a new 97bhp petrol unit, 74 and 91bhp diesels, the latter also offered with Grip Control, and the new 99bhp Blue HDi diesel with either the same five-speed gearbox of all the other engines or a six-speed ETG auto ‘box.

Peugeot says that across the range fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been cut on average by 15 per cent – lowest is the Blue HDi with 108g/km.

Visually the main change to the New Partner van is its revised front-end design. A new nose and fresh headlamp styling bring it into line with the new Peugeot family face already seen on other recently launched vehicles.

The van’s practicality has also been approved, with modifications made to the floorpan allowing even the smallest L1 version to accommodate two Euro pallets, which Peugeot says is class leading in the Partner’s sector.

Partner prices start from £13,215 in panel van format or £15,215 as a panel van, both plus VAT. An electric version, the Partner EV, is also available at £21,300, with a range of up to 106 miles between charges.

The Partner is available in S, SE and Professional trims, and all three grades have had features added. Cruise control and a speed limiter are now standard from SE, while Professional vans now include a TomTom GO 5000 sat-nav fitted as standard. The unit clips magnetically to a charging dock mounted on the A-pillar, enabling the five-inch touch-screen to be within handy reach.

Front parking sensors and a reversing camera have joined the options list.

Peugeot is also opening order books for the Partner Tepee MPV version, with five or seven seats and priced from £14,785 and Active and Allure trim levels.
