Chery has unveiled the Delivan commercial vehicle brand at the Commercial Vehicle Show – a marque aiming to deliver a range of vehicles aimed primarily at last-mile delivery and urban logistics uses.

The UK will be the first European outlet for the brand, management describing the British commercial vehicle market as one of the most advanced and influential in Europe and a leading test venue for new mobility options.

Chinese automotive giant Chery intends that the Delivan OEM will cover the entire spectrum of light-commercial vehicle operation, from vehicles, charging, servicing, telematics and digital programmes to aftermarket and warranty requirements.

At the show Delivan displayed several concepts; the mid-sized ‘intelligent mobility show vehicle’ is aimed at high-frequency short-distance urban users, such as last-mile deliveries. The micro-cargo concept is planned to suit compact multi-drop urban use, particularly in crowded city-centre environments, while the ‘robot-cargo’ concept will be aimed at controlled environments such as inside warehouses.

Delivan plans to launch its first vehicles onto the UK market in 2027, the initial vehicle likely to be a medium to large-sized van.
