Dacia hikes Duster Commercial prices

After updating its Duster Commercial model with the latest company branding, Dacia has taken the opportunity to increase the car's pricing

Prices for the Dacia Duster Commercial range have increased after a very minor model refresh that updates the car’s logo branding and scraps some of the engine choices that were previously available.

The budget brand has recently opted to replace its ‘Dacia’-lettered emblem for a more abstract mirrored C-shape design that Dacia’s marketing department says “exudes an instant feel of robustness and stability”.

Dacia says it has ‘simplified’ the range of models on offer. Like last year, the Duster Commercial range consists of two trim levels with a range of engine choices, but the top-spec ‘Comfort’ grade has been renamed ‘Expression’, with no spec changes noted.

The mid-range 130hp petrol engine option has been dropped from the range, leaving the entry-level 90hp petrol engine which is only available with the lead-in ‘Essential’ trim, and the 150hp petrol automatic option, which is only available with the ‘Expression’ trim.

If you would like to opt for a diesel variant of the ‘Essential’ trim, paying extra for four-wheel drive is now mandatory, though front-wheel drive diesel models are still available with the ‘Expression’ trim.

This minor update has raised prices by £1,200 for every model in the range – with Duster Commercial pricing now starting at just below £14k before VAT.

This is the first tweak to the Duster Commercial range since October last year. This SUV-turned-van differentiates itself from its family car twin thanks to blacked out rear windows which conceal a flat load floor which replaces rear seating, separated from the front seats by a full-height mesh bulkhead.

The car has up to 1.6m3 of load space, and gross payload capacity of between 396kg and 428kg. The updated range is available to order now in the UK.
