Isuzu is offering a new hardtop canopy for its D-Max pick-up, specially designed for double-cab versions of the model.

The hardtop costs £1,381.25 plus VAT and the brand claims that when fitted the unit turns the D-Max into something visually closer to the MU-X SUV.

The Alpha Type-E Canopy is matched to the body colour of the vehicle it is being fitted to. It comes with tinted windows all around, giving it a car-like wrap-round glass appearance, gloss black pillars and a dark, charcoal grey-coloured headliner.

It can be locked using central locking from a factory key while a clear sliding bulkhead glass gives access from the inside to the passenger compartment. A heated rear window and an auto interior light are also on the specification.

Brushed alloy roof bars are fitted with cross bars to the roof to increase carrying capability, a reinforced tailgate frame with twin smooth-lift gas struts allows access into the D-Max’s load bed.
