Following a recent trend in the commercial vehicle sector, Volkswagen has launched its Converter Recognition scheme, providing buyers with a list of approved vehicle converters.

The new scheme covers both off-the-shelf conversions and more extensive conversions, and enables customers to access servicing and aftersales support in one place.

Vehicles suitable for conversions include access platforms, car transporters, cranes, minibuses, mobile workshops, welfare and wheelchair access vehicles, standard Lutons, dropsides and tippers.

Approved Integrated and Premium partners will undergo regular audits to ensure the quality of their processes. The partner companies will also deliver a minimum type approval certification for each conversion, meaning that the converter’s warranty will match Volkswagen’s.
