Volkswagen has shown a sketch of the next Transporter van.
The sixth-generation model is due to be unveiled in Europe on 15th April 2015,
The Transporter line dates back to the unveiling of the original model in 1950. Some 11 million have since been sold across the world and the Transporter has become one of the best-selling light commercial vehicles.
Volkswagen says that the new Transporter will hold true to the basic aims of the original vehicle, of ‘’getting the job done efficiently and reliably’ – which the brand says has been maintained despite the vehicle evolving dramatically during the past 65 years.
The new Transporter will go on sale in the UK later this year and full details will be released closer to its launch.
