Momentum is growing for the CV Show, with more manufacturers announcing their stands at the Birmingham NEC event on 25th to 27th April including all three major French brands.
Renault plans to have one of the largest stands at the show, with several of the 15 vehicles in its display making their debut in the UK. Chief among them will be the new Master Z.E. and uprated Kangoo Z.E. electric vans, which will both launch on the UK market later in 2017.
The Master Z.E. will have a quoted NEDC range of 124 miles, and will be designed for urban deliveries, while the Kangoo Z.E. range has been uprated by 50 per cent to 168 miles (NEDC), which Renault says equates to 124 miles ‘real world’ range.
Renault will also celebrate its partnership with the Renault Sport Formula One team with ‘Formula Edition’ versions of its Master, Trafic and Kangoo light commercial range.
A longer Expert
Star of the Peugeot stand will be the new long-wheelbase version of the Expert van, the New Expert Long. It has a 350mm longer load floor than the standard version while its load capacity can be extended further with the Moduwork system, which permits through-loading of the standard full height steel bulkhead for items such as piping or ladders.
A Crew Van version of the Expert also debuts – it has a separate cab with seating for up to six, and can be based on either the Standard or Long models of the van.
Peugeot will also show the shortest Compact model of the Expert with the Grip Control driver selectable traction enhancing system, for on and off-road use.
Sister brand Citroën will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the launch of one of its most iconic models, the H-van – today enjoying a new life as the basis of many a mobile coffee shop.
Centre stage will be the van considered the successor to the H, the Citroën Dispatch. This made its international launch at last year’s CV Show and all three lengths available will be on display at the show this year.
