1st Choice Tool & Plant Hire has replaced its whole fleet with 12 new Iveco Daily vans, citing Iveco’s vehicle range and local dealer support as key reasons for purchase.
The deal is for two 3.5-tonne Daily panel vans, eight 3.5-tonne chassis cabs and two 7.2-tonne chassis cabs. The move represents a complete switch to Iveco for 1st Choice.
The new order is a piece of good news for Iveco, whose 2018 sales figures are currently well behind last year’s numbers, down 55% for LCVs below 3.5 tonnes and down 65% for vans above 3.5 tonnes.
Rob Cox, managing director at 1st Choice Tool & Plant Hire, said: “We need a rugged vehicle that can handle our day-to-day work, especially as we transport diggers, dumpers and even three-tonne excavators.
“Iveco proved to us that the Daily is more than up to the task and the whole package they offered made it a no-brainer.”
The new vehicles will be put to use delivering construction tools and machinery to customers in London and the South East of England.
