Kia UK plans to launch a new battery-powered van line-up at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show in April.

This is an entirely new venture for the manufacturer, the President and CEO of Kia UK Paul Philpott commenting that the brand’s new commercial business aims to “deliver world-class electric vans to UK customers”, with the “same industry-leading standards we’re known for in the passenger car industry.”

Front and centre at Kia’s stand 5C95 will be the brand’s new electric PV5 concept, which is built on a dedicated EV platform which has been designed for “delivery, utilities and ride hailing” applications.

The new model will eventually be available in three main forms; a panel van, a chassis cab and a passenger variant. Trim specifications for the range will be announced at the CV Show – taking place between 29th April to 1st May 2025 – and the van will be offered with a seven-year or 100,000-mile warranty as standard when it arrives in UK showrooms.

Kia’s partnership with Geotab and on-board technology, including native access to the Android App store on the van’s central display, ensure fleets can benefit from the latest software solutions.
