Mercedes van dealers have begun taking orders for the new Vito Sport.

The Sport has been a UK-specific member of the Vito range since 2009 and now adopts the advances of the latest incarnation of the van line-up launched earlier in 2015.

It will be available in either panel van or crew van versions, the latter boasting an additional row of seats, and in Compact or Long Body lengths.

Power choices range across the 116 BlueTEC and 119 BlueTEC engines, both of which are Euro 6 emissions compliant.

Bespoke Sport styling touches include chrome sidebars and front grille trim, unique rear model badging, front fog lamps with chrome trim, rear tailgate chrome trim, colour-coded bumpers and five-spoke alloy wheels.

Inside the standard equipment ranges across air-conditioning, comfort driver and single passenger seats, ‘Sport’ branded floor mats, Mercedes’ Audio 15 infotainment system with a colour screen, and tinted glass.

Every Vito Sport model also includes the hardware required to add the optional plug-in Becker MapPilot navigation system.

Prices for the Vito Sport start at £25,495 excluding VAT, buying the 116 BlueTEC Compact in panel van format.

Mercedes-Benz is also intending to add Sport-X models to the line-up, by Spring 2016.
