Mitsubishi has announced UK pricing for the new L200 Series 7, with the double-cab pickup available in two distinct forms: a passenger model and a dedicated commercial variant with significant tax advantages for business operators.
First deliveries are expected from May 2026, with registrations of interest now open.
Passenger model pricing
The L200 Series 7 passenger model is available in two trim levels. The Titan is priced at £36,295 ex-VAT and the Barbarian at £39,995 ex-VAT. Both use a 2.4-litre diesel engine with a six-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
Mitsubishi says power and torque are up over the previous model, though specific figures have not yet been released. Towing capacity is rated at 3,500kg and payload is quoted as over 1,000kg – operators should confirm the exact payload figure with their dealer before ordering, as this affects what the vehicle can legally carry.
The Barbarian adds Mitsubishi’s Super Select four-wheel drive system, which allows the driver to select from multiple modes, including low-range for off-road use.
Both models come with a five-year warranty and five years of Europe-wide breakdown cover.
Commercial model pricing and tax treatment
The L200 Commercial is priced from £37,495 ex-VAT for the Titan and £41,195 ex-VAT for the Barbarian. It is permanently configured as a two-seater to meet UK commercial vehicle classification requirements – a response to the government’s reclassification of double-cab pickups as passenger vehicles for tax purposes.
That classification means the vehicle qualifies for 100% plant and machinery allowance and a flat benefit-in-kind rate of £4,020. Operators should confirm the tax implications with their accountant before ordering.
What’s still to come
Mitsubishi has not yet released fuel economy figures, specific power and torque outputs, or full specification details for either model. These will be important for operators comparing the L200 against established rivals such as the Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max ahead of the May delivery window.
