Isuzu has announced details of pricing and specification for its updated D-Max range, which will make its UK debut at the 2017 CV Show in April.
All  models in the latest D-Max range boast a new 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine producing 164hp and 360Nm of torque. As with the previous range, the new D-Max models are able to carry a one-tonne payload and tow 3.5 tonnes. Isuzu claims that a quieter, more refined and economical driving experience is now on offer.
One key benefit of the new engine is that it meets the latest Euro-6 emissions laws without using any AdBlue urea additive. This will save owners the hassle and cost of having to refill an AdBlue tank on a regular basis if they cover a lot of miles.
The new D-Max retains the Shift-On-The-Fly 4×4 feature of previous models, allowing the driver to select low-range gears and four-wheel-drive on the move.
All first-generation specifications of the D-Max have been carried over to the new model. The Utility, Eiger, Yukon, Utah and Blade are all available as single, extended and double cab variants.
The entry-level Utility D-Max comes with LED daytime running lights, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Bluetooth connectivity, power windows and air conditioning as standard, with prices starting from £15,749.
The Eiger, starting at £20,499, includes a reversing camera, 16-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured bumpers and an upgraded audio system.
The Yukon D-Max, from £20,499, adds 18-inch wheels, silver side steps, a new seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED rear lights, cruise control, a load liner for the tray and leather steering wheel.
The Utah offers keyless entry and push button start, as well as rear parking sensors and automatic climate control. The infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and includes satnav and DAB digital radio. Roof bars and leather upholstery with heated front seats are also included in the £24,149 starting price.
The top-of-the-range Blade D-Max, available from £26,999, comes with tinted windows, a larger nine-inch touchscreen and remote locking lower tailgate. Also as standard are puddle lamps, front and rear parking sensors and a choice of an Aeroklas canopy or sports bar with roll cover.
The new D-Max range is on sale now, and arrives in the UK in the Spring. The Van Expert will have a full road test as soon as we get behind the wheel next month.
