Toyota has joined the ranks of manufacturers offering in-house conversion services with two new programmes to be launched at the 2017 CV Show later this month.

Toyota Trade Plus

The Toyota Trade Plus programme will provide ready-made conversions for the most popular requirements, delivered via the Toyota retailer network in a one-stop-shop operation for the customer. Initially, this will comprise a Hilux Tipper conversion, refrigerated Proace panel vans and standard racking kits, with additional products under consideration.

All of the conversions offered in the Toyota Trade Plus programme will be covered by the vehicle’s five-year/100,000-mile manufacturer new vehicle warranty.

Toyota Authorised Converter

The Toyota Authorised Converter programme will cater to customers requiring more specialised and bespoke conversions. Toyota will announce its first partners at the CV Show on 25 April, and aims to have a network of approximately 20 conversion partners across the country once the programme is fully rolled out.

As with most conversion programmes, the converter will provide a warranty for the conversion work and Toyota will provide a manufacturer warranty for the base vehicle.

Toyota plans to showcase five vehicles on its stand at the CV Show; a Hilux Invincible X and Tipper, a refrigerated Proace van, a Proace van featuring Trade Plus racking, and a Proace Verso MPV decked out in a VIP configuration.
