Anticipation is growing for the annual CV Show, which will be held at Birmingham’s NEC on 26th-28th April 2016.
According to organisers the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders, vans and light commercials are set to dominate the 430-plus stands booked to be part of what is the UK’s largest commercial vehicle event.
Major van manufacturers Volkswagen, Toyota and LDV are all returning to the show after some years away, joining top names including Citroën, Fiat, Ford, Isuzu, Iveco, Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Renault.
In addition to exhibiting the latest Transporter and Caddy, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will be using the event to launch a new Converter Recognition Programme.
The new programme build’s on the brand’s existing Engineered For You and Engineered To Go schemes and will ensure VW conversions meet operators’ needs and expectations while widening the range of approved conversions available on VWCV bodies.
VW promises that customers will be able to access a one-stop-shop for converted vehicles, ordering the entire vehicle through the Van Centre.
VWCV head of marketing Kirsten Stagg is looking forward to returning to the CV Show. “It’s great timing for us to consolidate the launches of the new Caddy and Transporter, as well as to meet customers and provide opportunities for our teams and those from our dedicated Van Centre network to build relationships,” she says.
Meanwhile well-know automotive repair brand Kwik Fit intends to use the show to promote its capability to serve the UK light commercial sector having expanded into vehicle servicing and MoTs alongside its traditional fast-fit services.
Kwik Fit will highlight the various service sit offers to LCV operators, including tyre repair and replacement via a fleet of more than 200 mobile units.
